Rare Photos of 10 Freedom Fighters Who Dedicated Their Lives For India's Freedom :
The Indian independence movement began during World War I and was led by
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who advocated for a peaceful and nonviolent
end to British rule.After a long battle for freedom, we are here celebrating Independence
only due to the selfless sacrifices and headstrong commitment of our
brave freedom fighters who were revolutionary in their approaches
towards looking at independence.

August 2022 is going to mark the 76th Independence Day of India and
while the entire country is ready to get washed in the colours of the
nation, take a look at the rare photos of Indian freedom fighters who
dedicated their lives to India's freedom.
1 - The Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmi Bai is remembered for her valour during the
Indian Mutiny of 1857–58. During a siege of the fort of Jhansi, Bai
offered stiff resistance to the invading forces and did not surrender
even after her troops were overwhelmed.
2 - India's Freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose was the most dynamic and
celebrated leader in the history of India’s struggle for Independence.
3- Khudiram Bose, whose fearless spirit is still talked about, was one of
the youngest revolutionaries during the Indian independence movement.
4- India's Freedom fighter Bhagat Singh was a hero of the early 20th-century Indian independence movement.Bhagat Singh was a vocal critic of British rule in India and was
involved in two high-profile attacks on British authorities - one on a
local police chief and the other on the Central Legislative Assembly in
Delhi.
5- A great freedom fighter and statesman - Lal Bahadur Shastri's slogan 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan', capturing the true spirit of India, inspires Indians across generations.
6- Swami Vivekananda had ignited many younger minds during the freedom
struggle. Freedom fighters, who lived between the end of 19th century
and the beginning of 20th century were influenced by Vivekananda's
words.
7- One of the greatest poet and freedom fighters Rabindranath Tagore also called as 'Gurudev.' A poet, philosopher, musician, writer, and educationist Rabindranath
Tagore was an icon of Indian culture, whose thoughts and ideas motivate
people and keep their love for the country alive even now.
8- Indian revolutionary and fearless freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad
(Chandrasekhar Tiwari) organized and led a band of militant youth
during India’s independence movement.
9- Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a prominent figure in the Indian
Freedom Struggle, who later became India's first Deputy Prime Minister
and first Home Minister. He is known for his contribution in integrating
565 princely states into a newly independent India.
10- Mahatma Gandhi was the primary leader and a great freedom fighter of
India's independence movement and also the architect of a form of
non-violent civil disobedience that would influence the world.
In 1906, Gandhi organized his first mass civil-disobedience campaign,
which he called “Satyagraha”, in reaction to the South African Transvaal
government’s new restrictions on the rights of Indians, including the
refusal to recognize Hindu marriages.
